Suzie

Starfish Dog Rescue took in Suzie and found that while she had lived in a home as a pet, her behaviour was more akin to dogs who had never known what it is to be loved or cared for. She was shutdown, wary of human contact and a shadow of the dog she should have been.

After spending time in an experienced foster home, Suzie started to come out of her shell, showing her true nature in the safe and understanding environment provided by Starfish. She gradually began to enjoy being outside on walks, learning every day, slowly but surely that her life was now hers to enjoy.

Starfish are a small, locally focussed rescue and through their network found Suzie her perfect new home.

Suzie now enjoys a quiet, very much loved life, one that for 5 years she was denied. Schnauzerfest supported Starfish with Suzie’s veterinary costs to prepare her for adoption.
