Martha

Martha (aka Berry) arrived at DBARC with several other schnauzers who had been saved from puppy farms. They arrived a few weeks ahead of Schnauzerfest 2018 and all had multiple health needs and some were obviously blind.

DBARC set to work immediately caring for them all and Martha was one of the first to be ready for eye surgery. As is often the case, things never go smoothly where complicated procedures are needed. Martha required close, 24 hour monitoring post surgery, caused several sleepless nights of worry for us all but with the dedication of Janet and her DBARC team, hundreds and hundreds of eye drops later, Martha’s operation was eventually declared a success! Her eyesight had been restored and her new life could begin in earnest.

None of this would be possible without the serious financial support which donations to Schnauzerfest provide DBARC. The treatment costs to transform lives like Martha are high, but worth every penny. Martha is now loving every minute of her new life and enjoyed her first Schnauzerfestive Walk at Bradgate Park, Leics in December 2018.

UPDATE: December 2018. Martha was adopted by Sally, in Leicestershire and lives a wonderful, safe and very much loved life.
