Here at Schnauzerfest we really believe that everyone can do some good for the dogs, every day. No matter what age you are. The dogs who are helped by Schnauzerfest have often been let down by people. We believe that people can do better if they know what to do. We know that better lives for dogs are possible if people change. We think it’s kids like you who will make things change.

Here at Schnauzerfest we pay vet bills for dogs who are rescued. This can cost a lot of money. Think about some of the fun ways that you can help to raise money. Talk to your friends and family, your teachers might help you. Like this class who raised money for us after learning about puppy farming.
Learning what dogs need us to do to make them happy is very important. Knowing what they need and knowing if you can give them this before you bring a dog into your family is the first thing you should do. A good place to start is to read these words from the book ‘Saving Maya’.
Schnauzerfest was started by a writer, Janetta Harvey who adopted Susie-Belle. Writing Susie-Belle’s story helped Janetta to tell other people about rescue dogs and puppy farming. Here at Schnauzerfest we believe that telling stories about the dogs is very important. We would love to hear about your dogs.
