Pixie

When Pixie was a few weeks old we were asked to help secure her a safe future. Pixie has a congenital cataract which may, or may not require specialist intervention in future, or potentially loss of sight in the affected eye. We knew Pixie needed an adopter who would have the experience and dedication to ensure that whatever happens in future she will be safe.

Pixie was adopted by Debbie, who has many years experience of adoption and fostering, including dogs with complicated eye issues. One of her adopted dogs lost both eyes due to complications from congenital problems. Pixie could not be in a better home.

Pixie having her consultation at Dick White Referrals

At six months old Pixie has had her first detailed ophthalmology consultation with Lorraine Fleming at Dick White Referrals. This confirmed that at this stage no treatment is needed, however, regular monitoring will be required to ensure the best possible outcome for Pixie throughout her lifetime. Every time you support the charity, you help ensure the lives of dogs with specialist and potentially expensive veterinary needs are secured.
