When Teddy arrived at Mrs Murrays Cat and Dog Home in Aberdeen we knew that he would require understanding, dedicated care and veterinary treatment. We had been asked by his previous owners for help and from what they told us, we expected things to be tricky for Teddy.
The team quickly set about helping this lovely natured, vocal, under socialised and sensitive dog to settle. It was very clear that he had received little if any veterinary treatment or grooming. All this was given to Teddy and he quickly felt more comfortable, despite having to have almost all his teeth removed. Removing a lifetime of matted fur definitely helped his comfort levels.
We are very grateful for everything the Mrs Murrays team are doing for Teddy, and that they didn’t hesitate to offer him a place with them when we asked. He certainly has a much happier, brighter future ahead of him today.
While Teddy has a good future ahead of him thanks to Mrs Murrays, he had an older brother, Murphy. Sadly Murphy’s medical needs and neglect were too advanced by the time help was sought. The kindest, but hardest decision was made that he should be allowed to slip off peacefully.
We thank Mrs Murrays for being there for them both when we asked.
UPDATE
After receiving and recovering from his veterinary treatment which included an extensive dental, Teddy is now looking for his new home. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt this special little guy will be guaranteed a beautiful friendship. He's not had an easy time but we’re very happy to report from Mrs Murrays that he has a new lease of life.
