Chase was handed over to Dogs Friends Rescue when he was a few weeks old. He was born blind. Chase had the good luck to be fostered by Ember’s fosterer, Clare and has spent the last few weeks learning confidence and good behaviours from his large canine foster family. Chase is safe and living well, he has adapted to the world of darkness in which he goes about his days. But, as his condition is one that can be remedied, a Schnauzerfest Grant was made available to his rescue to cover the costs of his cataract surgery.
His surgery went ahead and his recovery is well underway. As a young dog Chase’s life will be far easier and safer with eyesight.
