Polly

Polly, with Teddy, settling into a new life and recovering from major surgery.

Taken in by Cavaliers in Need in Northern Ireland they committed to giving Polly everything she needed for a safe future. They knew she would require a dental - they didn't expect the extent it turned out to be. Fourteen teeth all but fell out.

They knew she had some lumps and would need spaying. Removing her mammary tumours was major surgery. It was touch and go for her at one stage.

Sadly for Polly it was found nder Xray that she has spondylosis, a condition which causes irreversible damage to the spine.

The impact on Polly and her future is unknown. But what is known is that Polly will stay under long-term foster care and she will have everything she needs to keep her comfortable and happy, day by day.

A full Schnauzerfest Grant is in place to cover all her medical costs.

We’re overwhelmed with your generosity, we can’t thank you enough. We are committed to every dog that comes into our care. Thank you so much for helping little Polly.

A few weeks on from her dental and mammary surgery and Polly is doing very well. Her wound is almost healed and her weight is increasing nicely. Her fosterer reports that she is out walking, talking as happy schnauzers love to and even had a go at playing with some toys. Her vets do not think that Polly is in any pain with her spondylosis, this will be carefully monitored.
