When a little schnauzer was found bewildered and alone in a remote country lane, she was taken in by Hope Rescue. This rescue is dedicated to helping all the stray dogs from 6 Local Authorities in South Wales irrespective of their age, breed, or medical condition. In 2025, the number of stray dogs taken in by Hope has risen by a staggering 43%. Susan, sadly is just one of hundreds of dogs this year alone, who without help from Hope would not survive.
As Susan was unclaimed after 7 days, she passed into the ownership of Hope Rescue and is receiving everything she needs to go on to live a happy, secure and healthy life. It is clear that she has been heavily bred from, and has little, if any experience of the outside world. She requires a dental and will be spayed, but as she still has milk, there’s a little wait for that to dry up.
In the meantime, Susan is doing really well in her foster home. Learning probably for the first time in her life, what kind attention, gentle care and abundant love really means.
A Schnauzerfest Grant will cover all the costs of Susan’s veterinary treatment and care whilst with Hope.
