Millie's Story

Millie supports Schnauzerfest in a variety of ways every year, including organising her own fundraising activities.

Often accompanied by husband Matt and their dogs Lulu and Rufus, Millie is very involved in the local community. In 2019 with friends she organised a local Paws in the Park event and Pengefest - a local beer festival - and at each had a stall for Schnauzerfest. Raising funds and awareness for the charity.

At the start of the first lockdown caused by Covid-19 Millie joined the ink cartridge recycling scheme which raises money for Schnauzerfest. Through her local community groups Millie arranges regular collections of people’s cartridges. It raises regular money for the charity and helps the planet at the same time.

In October 2020 Millie and Matt organised an orange food themed Halloween style event for local friends. Food, soup and drinks were orange and using a local whatsapp group people booked slots and pre-ordered. It was all done within COVID rules and turned out to be huge fun for all involved. And raised a lovely sum for Schnauzerfest.
