Meeting mum with her pups

We were kindly gifted a box of dog treats and goodies recently by Cheltenham based Be More Bob. As Anne, one of our Trustees was in Somerset she took the chance to deliver them in person to Clare and the Pawscroft gang. Clare is currently fostering Rosie and her puppies (see more) and the treats were a welcome surprise for Rosie and Clare’s resident canine crew.

Bea, Anne’s dog who knows the challenges of adapting to life after exisiting in the commercial world of dog breeding, joined the visit. This was all a good experience for Rosie as very soon more visitors will come to the house when the puppies adoptions happen. Rosie kept a close, careful eye on Bea, who was excellent at keeping a respectful distance, she clearly understood the situation.

Rosie accepted Anne and was comfortable with the attention (no doubt copious treats helped a lot). All the puppies happily snoozed in their new garden enclosure.

We thank Clare and Dogs Friends for all they do in changing the lives of so many dogs. And you for your incredible support for Schnauzerfest which enables the charity to ease some of the financial demands this rescue and others face every year.
