Poppet is a young dog with a back problem. Although her family have insurance cover in place for Poppet, anything back and leg related is excluded. In normal times Poppet’s condition is comfortably managed, however, concerns have been growing that perhaps something more could be going on.
Following a successful application for charitable assistance, Poppet has recently had a specialist orthopedic and neurological consultation. The outcome showed that everything that is being done so far for Poppet is great and no change is needed at this stage. Should anything alter, further assessment will be considered, which may include more invasive procedures such as CT and MRI scans and lumbar puncture, but at this point, her family have the assurance that no further interventions are required.
