Stepping Out in Scotland's Iconic Kiltwalk

The Kiltwalk is a unique Scottish charity event and this year Schnauzerfest will have three walkers taking part in the Glasgow walk on 30th April.

Robyn, Kelly and her husband Robbie love schnauzers and have four between them. Robyn and Kelly became friends through their younger pups Ada and Alfie who are litter siblings. Now best friends they enjoy lots of adventures with the dogs and are inspired by them to support Schnauzerfest this year.

Robyn kindly agreed to tell us more

The Kiltwalk is a 23 mile walk from Glasgow to Loch Lomond - The Mighty Stride! Kelly and I did the Edinburgh Kiltwalk last year and this year Robbie will be joining us. We’re expecting the day to be a lot of fun and hopefully dry. It’s a great atmosphere on the day iteself, lots of high spirits and friendly people. Plenty of great refreshment stops along the way so we can stock up on chocolate!

We have picked Schnauzerfest as our charity to supprt as all of us love schnauzers. I have two, Otto and Ada and Kelly and Robbie have Charlie and Alfie. Since becoming schnauzer owners and loving our own so much we want to help the charity.

We are lookking forward to following Robyn, Kelly and Robbie’s Glasgow walk and cheering them on from afar. If you are inspired join a Kiltwalk there’s sstill time to sign up for events this year. It is Scotland’s largest mass participation walking event with over 120,000 people taking part since 2016 and £24.6 million has been raised for charities to date. Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation have topped this up with £12.5 million meaning a collective £37 million has been raised and paid-out to 3,000 Charities.
