Dolly

Dolly has just started the best chapter of the story of her life so far. From now on, it’s going to get better and better. For Dolly has just been adopted having left a world that none of us would like to imagine - a Welsh puppy farm.

Rescued by Friends of the Animals Dolly has spent the last few weeks in a foster home, receiving all the essential veterinary care and treatment to prepare her for adoption. A Schnauzerfest Grant supported FOAW by paying the vet fees. We’re very grateful to all our donors for making it possible during such difficult times to help to transform Dolly’s life.

Dolly joins her new schnauzer sisters, 6 year old Elphie and Maggie who is 14. Her life in Yorkshire looks set to be a fulfilling one. For not only will her sisters be showing her that life is good and kind, and interesting but Edna, BB and Mrs Hudson have so far provided her breakfast of scrambled eggs!

We weren’t sure if we should change her name but as she had only been Klara for 4 weeks ... we had compiled a list but wanted to see her first. As we turned into the fosterer’s drive Dolly Parton came on the radio and then as we left a different Dolly Parton song came on - so it was a sign. And she’s so tiny it really suits her.
— Sarah, Dolly's adopter

What a wonderful name for a beautiful dog, one whose life can now really begin in earnest. The future is hers.
