Cilla & Dora

Cilla and Dora were adopted by Kathleen and Mel following the loss of their beloved dog Juno.

While both dogs have been saved from the cruelty of puppy farms, Dora appears to have escaped that life fairly unscathed and is a loving, confident dog. Cilla was more damaged by her past experiences and is taking time to adjust to being a normal dog in a loving home, she is cautious around humans and takes a while to feel at ease in new situations.

Cilla was blind whilst in foster care at DBARC and was the recipient of specialist cataract surgery, which restored her sight. There were complications post-op with one eye and she has only limited vision in it, but this doesn’t appear to cause her problems.

Cilla post op, back at DBARC, enjoying her new eyesight.
